Knitting Injury

Ow Ow OW! I can't believe I just did that. I managed to poke myself in the eye with a knitting needle. For Pete's sake, I wasn't even knitting. I was moving my project over to a table (so nobody would sit on my project and get impaled. go figure) And I was distracted by the TV, and the needle missed my glasses and hit my eye. Ouch! Big J says that it's red, but otherwise, looks all right. ::sigh:: how would I ever explain it to my optometrist?
